Jim Lyons had this experience with my museumsearch page:
>I too did a search for "aviation", wanting to see if the Moffett Field
>Museum is listed, and ended up with over 700 museums. What did I do wrong?
>
>Also, twice this crashed my machine: "JavaScript Error line 84: temp_words
>is not defined."
Jim, you did nothing wrong. I, the webmaster did. I have some javascripting
in this page that I failed to check for robust cross compatability. Bad bad
webmaster! I apologize wholeheartedly to you and to all those who have been
kind enough to experiment with my beta-search page, only to get zonked by
my carelessness.
I just removed the offending code and reloaded this more "friendly" version
to the same URL, which was, as you may recall,
http://museumstuff.com/professional/museumsearch.html
What we've just witnessed is a classic example of WHY it's important to
TEST webpages in various platforms/browsers before unleashing them on the
innocent public.
