Claire,
We do not have a "family rate". Though it seems like
a good idea. I would like to recommend, however, that
anyone proposing a policy of how many children are
included in a family rate seek the guidance of your
Security Professional. There should be a set
Adult:Child ratio in place to ensure there are enough
adults to handle a certain size group of children. We
do many school tours and require one adult per 8
children when they are on a tour. However, we are
tightening the ratio for our upcoming Dale Chihuly
exhibition. We are changing our ratio to 1 Adult per
5 Children for this exhibition. So, I suggest that
the family rate should be adjusted to coincide with
your own institutions policy on the Adult:Child Ratio.
I know you can't control how many children adults
bring with them on their own, but a policy matching
your ratio would keep large uncontrollable groups to a
minimum. Something to consider...
