Education Coordinator – Smoky Hill Museum
Salina, Kansas

The Smoky Hill Museum seeks a motivated, creative educator to take the
Museum's community education and outreach programs for life-long learning
to new levels. (Ten-year-old institution newly accredited, located in
Salina, Kansas, a regional economic, cultural and medical center of 50,000;
a $1,000,000 building renovation recently completed.) The individual must
work in a collaborative setting to move the organization into the new
century: be a team player with appreciation of the Museum as an integral
part of a progressive cultural community; have excellent communication and
interpersonal skills and an adeptness in creating broadly diverse
participatory and interdisciplinary programs.  Primary responsibilities
include planning, implementation and assessment of educational initiatives
and activities; and working productively with staff, colleagues,
volunteers, schools, and community.

BS in education, history, or related field, plus three years experience in
museum education or related field required.  Salary range: $24,100 -
$31,400, plus excellent benefits.  Application form must be completed and
