Issue no. 36 of the Informal Learning Review has just been published. This
issue is anchored by a stimulating essay by futurist Clark Dodsworth on
exhibitions' interfaces with users/visitors, a study of zoo discovery rooms
from the Oakland Zoo, and Bob Russell's summary of an ASTC session on
estimating museum attendance. Other articles look at science festivals,
student's views of botanical exhibitions, family learning in museums, and
ITA-Explore's new approach to educational films using motion-based platforms.
The new book on evaluation by Judy Diamond is reviewed.
The next issue, due out later this month, will include all the abstracts from
the August annual conference of the Visitor Studies Association.
