Please be aware--once again--that the "Save NPR/PBS/NEA" petition is
*spam*, and vintage spam at that. It's been floating around the Internet in
one form or another since 1995. Nice histories are available at

These sites are two of many good recources for verifying Email petitions,
warnings, alerts.  Such things should ALWAYS be checked as a matter of
course before forwarding them to ANYONE, let alone an entire list.
