Juli,
You might consider using Microsoft Project 98 as a scheduling and
management software. It can give you more ways to look at your schedule
than "Outlook" and can be linked to "Outlook" for email reminders. I use
Project 98 for all exhibit project scheduling and find it very helpful to
see the schedule as both a gantt chart and a calendar. You could also
schedule in set up and clean up times, as well as both human and equipment
resource and see very easily where you have under or over allocations of
those resources. You can also generate reports and print out schedules for
distribution. Project 98 can be networked with read only modules on local
pc's.
If you consider using it, I recommend taking at least one class from a
certified trainer. There are some querky things in the software that can
cause frustration and limit the full use of it, if you are not aware of
them.
I use both, but use "Outlook" only for my own daily work scheduling and
appointment calendar, and email etc..............
Good luck with your new museum project. Looks like an exciting adventure.
