I've just received a request for information on washboards, specifically if
there were any 19th century innovations, who invented, etc. In lightly
researching the topic for an exhibit last year, I didn't find much in the
way of information on wash boards (there is a great website for antique
washing machines at http://216.160.174.6/oldewash_docs/index.html).
Anybody have any hints on washboard research?
