discuss strategies for effectively evaluating your web site.
September 23, 1999 Assessing the Impact of Museums
John H. Falk, Ph.D., Director, Institute for Learning Innovation,
will
describe two studies that document the impact of a museum on its
public.
November 18, 1999 Computers, Museums, Networks & Free-Choice Learning
(Tentative) Eric Marshall, Director of Tryscience.org, New York
Hall
of Science, will speak on the impact of technology in museums and
on
free-choice learning.
February 24, 2000 Theatre: An Interpretive Tool in Museums and
Outreach Programs
Dale Jones, Senior Associate, Institute for Learning Innovation,
will
examine the use and effectiveness of different strategies when
creating a theatre program for a variety of settings.
April 20, 2000 Assessing the Impact of Community-Based Programs
Dale
McCreedy, M.S., Franklin Institute, Program Director NSP (National
Science Partnership for Girl Scouts and Science Museums) and G.A.C.
(Girls
at the Center), will describe efforts to assess the effect of
these
programs on cultivating science interest in girls, adults, and
families
June 22, 2000 Participatory Evaluation
Marianna Adams,Ph.D. & Jessica Luke,M.A. Senior Associates,
Institute
for Learning Innovation, will examine the pros and cons of the
participatory evaluation model and explore ways in which it has
been
used in museums.
