Hello! We're changing the job descriptions of what used to be known as
our museum attendants to give them a more multi-functional, active role
in interpretation, exhibition development, collections care, etc. Along
with this shift in emphasis we're keen to move away from the "museum
attendant" title, towards something more in tune with the new role.
Various ideas have been proposed, none of which seem to fit the bill:
information assistants (too techie), museum assistants (too
behind-the-scenes), guides (too girlie), visitor interpreters (eeuuch!).
Any body out there with a good, viable, and acceptable solution?
yours in anticipation of some truly excellent ideas...
Mick
