I need to recommend a good, simple manual on the cataloging of library
holdings for a small special interest Museum in the midwest. They have
mechanical drawings, 10-100 year runs of periodicals on their subject,
sales brochures, and broad selection of paper and flat ephemera.
The main collection is desecrate machines (motorcycles) which can be
cataloged in the standard way. The ephemera and sales pamphlets would
be best cross referenced to the machines.
This should be a simple reference that non-librarians can pick-up and
use to do a very limited amount of library cataloging. The source would
be an added benefit unless amazon.com, barnsandnoble.com, etc. would be
the best source.
Thanks
