New York Hall of Science: Science Instructor (35 hrs/wk, salary $25k)
Duties: Deliver services including but not limited to Explainer training,
daily student workshops, outreach workshops, and teacher professional
development conferences; perform routine procedures including equipment
repair and setup, ordering of supplies, and maintaining the appearance of the
Stellarium and other instructional spaces; assist with the development of new
products and services.
Requirements: Broad science background and teaching experience needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills essential. Must either have
a New York State teaching license or be willing to obtain one within three
years. Flexible schedule to accommodate weekend and evening hours as needed.
