Susan,
I'm not an alarm specialist by any stretch of the imagination, but I
have some general comments/suggestions for you. We also have 3 separate
buildings and have been dealing with false alarms for way too long. Like
you, our alarm vendor was not forthcoming or helpful. We got in an
independent security consultant and found out that there are ways to deal
with some of these issues (not to mention everything that our alarm
vendor WASN'T doing for us). Having just undergone a complete fire
protection and security survey at our museum, I feel more knowledgeable
than I did 2 weeks ago! Rather than get too detailed over email or making
assumptions about what I think might be going on, please call me at
(719)383-5016 and I would be happy to share knowledge gained from our
survey regarding new/different technology\approaches.
