The Illinois Association of Museums has published a pair of technical
bulletins on marking collections that were written by Marianna Munyer -
collections manager for the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency and a
member of the national registrar's group that did a study on the best
marking techniques.  The publications were written with the small museum
in mind and they are free.
