Subject: Interpreter/docent peer review

One of our staff members has proposed a program of peer review as an
appropriate approach to improving the performance of our interpretive
staff. It is not being proposed as a substitute for the usual Supervisor
performance evaluation but some staff may feel that it is perhaps a better
way to coach new staff or those who feel that their supervisor never sees
them at their best.

My query to the list is: Have any of you used a system of peer review,
other than informal coaching, to work on staff performance with the public?
If you have, would be be willing to share your format and your thoughts on
the process?

Thanks for your assistance.
