After receiving several private emails from my last submission to the list,
I have decided to reprint the following paragraph from one of my replies. I
hope this is not going to upset anyone. I am not looking for employment but
am quite willing to work on a volunteer basis to help provide solutions,
both technical and traditional.
>I try to offer my services, as needed, to museums and other >non-profit
>groups. I benefit from the experience. I combine my >expertise in art and
>graphics with my knowledge of computers and >networking, to come up with a
>good solution to visual/technical/multimedia problems. As I have also
>worked in computer sales, I can often help >the client purchase used
>equipment, find a donation, or even help >repair/upgrade the equipment
>they already have. Many times the >new technology greatly enhances the
>quality of an exhibit and the >appeal to the public.
Again, I am not looking for employment but would love to do volunteer work
anywhere I can! These skills are not necessarily needed on a regular basis.
If anyone needs help in the following areas, please feel free to contact me.
* digital photo restoration (any image. leaves original intact-output can
be digital or traditional print from negative)
* digital presentation (including "interactive" design)
* IT solutions: design single computer or lan solution for an exhibit/act
as consultant for purchase/procurement of equipment)
* install equipment for exhibit purposes
* computer repair/upgrades (certified tech)
* graphic design
* illustration
* photography
