 I suggest looking to local universities with graduate programs in science (in Palo Alto you have one right there and a few a little further away). Graduate students in science (and in other fields) will do nearly anything for money, and as teaching may also useful for them later in their careers, so it has a bonus for them. If you require teaching experience, many of them have taught classes, many are also used to speaking in front of large groups.
 [As an example of what experiences graduate students many have, I did my graduate work in astronomy at a university which owned several large telescopes. Once a month, the telescope I used offered tours to groups who signed up ahead of time (boy/girl scout troops, classes (elementary through college), amateur astronomy clubs, etc. were the groups). A graduate student was paid to give between one and four tours (depended upon who signed up) on that Saturday. I did it a lot. It was not required of students (we were reqired to answer letters from the public which ranged from kids asking simple, geniune questions to people send us their theories of the universe and wanted to know why no one would publish the work), so only those interest and good at the tours did them. I should also point out that there were a series of tours given at the telescope one night a month there the tour guide gave a lecture, gave a tour, and let everyone look through the telescope (a smaller telescope)!
 and was NOT paid a small stipend. Oddly enough, more students signed up to give these tours than the paid tours.]
