i everybody. My name is Erika Topolewska.I work as technician at St
Andrews Museum, St Andrews, Fife, Scotland. I have a specific request with
my first communication, and I hope some of you may be able to help.

In January 1999 we will be exhibiting a collection of fossil fish from the
old red sandstone deposits at Dura Den, near Cupar, Fife. We have borrowed
specimens locally, but from archives, I am aware that there are many
specimens distributed UK and world-wide eg in the American Museum of
Natural History, New York.

We would like to be able to be able to inform our visitors of the
significance of these finds in a section entitled "The Ones That Got
Away", and would be very grateful if you wuld like to contribute to our
exhibition by sending information, drawings or photographs of any
specimens from this location which your institution may hold.

The types we have are: holoptychius; phaneropleuron;
glyptopomus;bothriolepus; diplopteras.

It would be great if we could have world-wide contributors to our
exhibition.

I look forward to hearing from you all
Best wishes,Erika
