Please excuse cross-postings.
For a presentation at ASTC in October 1999, I am organizing a panel
regarding the use of robots and robotics at science centers/museums. We
have a stellar group of panelists who will present their experiences,
and possibly other overview information. However, in order to present
as much of an overview as possible, I am looking for information from
other centers/museums in the following areas:
1. the variety of purposes for which robots or robotics are used in
science centers/museums.
2. the pros and cons, advantages and obstacles of using
robots/robotics
in science centers/museums.
3. how exhibits about robotics, or robots themselves, are usually
funded.
This is primarily an overview session, so information including as much
variety as possible is sought. Anyone willing to share descriptions of
what they have done, how they have done it, and how it worked, would be
greatly appreciated!
Many thanks. V
