I'm in the upper portion of the Applachians and hunting is still a part of
regional culture here in central New York state. A hunting gun in the
gunrack in the parking lot doesn't bother me - a handgun in someone's
briefcase or purse inside the museum does. Exception - someone bringing a
historic piece for review and anaylisis or possible donation to the
collections.
We do have a policy about guns in the museum. It's a good idea.
