AVISO, the American Association of Museum's monthly newsletter is the
best place to look. You may also want to join one or more regional
museum organizations (NEMA, MAAM, SEAC, etc...) who also have monthly
or quarterly newsletters with job listings. Finally, the American
Association of State and Local History [AASLH] has a newsletter with
job listings.
Finally, check out USAJobs (www.usajobs.opm.gov) for Smithsonian,
National Park Service and other government jobs and the Museum
Employment Resource Center (w3.trib.com/~jamesal/).

Hello! I, too am a recent graduate (M.A. in History) looking for
employment in a museum or cultural institution. If anyone can suggest
any museum industry magazines, particularly those with job listings, I
would greatly appreciate it. I'm not interested in only those with
job listings, however. I want to learn more about the field in
general.
If your organization is hiring, please see my resume at:
http://members.aol.com/ejbackman/page/index.htm
I have a strong background in early European and colonial American
history, museum and teaching experience, and administrative and
supervisory experience.
Again, any information about industry literature would be a great help
to me. Thank you!
