New York Times Sunday, August 9, 1998, will carry a major review of the new
building for the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati.  Herbert Muschamp
says,

"Hadid's design...won't be officially unveiled until this October, but surely
I'm not the only one impatient for a preview.  And in fact the design is
already far enough along to praise Cincinnati for giving this remarkable
architect her first commission in the United States."

Muschamp calls the design "a breakthrough in the imaginative display of
contemporary art," and anticipates "vistas even more startling than thoses
seen across the New York Guggenheim's rotunda."  He also compares the
proposed new building to Marcel Breuer's Whitney Museum of American Art and
Frank Gehry's Guggenheim in Bilbao, Spain.
