We are in the process of redesigning our "Rock Hall" and want to include a
cabinet for publicly accessible collections. I cannot find a cabinet that
fits our needs however in any of the exhibit case catalogs that we have on
file. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes such a case? It should
have several drawers of medium height (4-6 inches is fine) and the drawers
must have plexiglass (preferred) or glass covers that can lock. Ideally,
each drawer cover should lock individually so we can have individual
drawers open and accessible as needed. In addition, the entire cabinet
must have a door that can lock at the end of the day. We want to have a
cabinet of drawers of specimens for people to pull open and look at and
then when they want to handle them we can have a docent or educator unlock
the drawers. Since we don't always have staff in the gallery we do need to
be able to keep the drawers locked and covered to protect the specimens.
Any ideas besides having one custom built? Thanks in advance?
