April Award Travelship Application
The Visitor Studies Association April Award
Travelship will be presented for the third time at the
annual Conference in Chicago in 1999. The
travelship was established to assist junior VSA
members to attend to their first Visitor Studies
Conference. The 1999 Award will be a waiver of the
registration fee for the 1999 VSA conference.
Because student members have their own VSA
travel fund, they are not eligible to apply for the April
Award. Preference will be given to applicants who
live outside the conference area and who provide
evidence of financial need in order to attend the
Conference.
Selection of the recipient will be based on
information submitted to the April Award
Committee on this form. To apply, please complete
this form (or a copy aslo availible at www.museum.msu.edu/vsa/),
attach a succinct descriptive letter and your support letter,
and mail to Marilyn G. Hood, 3310 Somerford Rd. , Columbus OH
43221-1418, by April 1, 1999. The committee will
evaluate responses to each question on the basis
of the applicants professional potential to contribute
to the field of museum audience
research/evaluation. The recipient will be notified by
May 3, 1999.
