SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE FOR ACUMG CONFERENCE
A scholarship is available to cove the cost of the Association of
College and University Museums & Galleries activities at the 1999 annual
meeting of ACUMG held in conjunction with the 1999 annual meeting of the
American Association of Museums, Cleveland, Ohio, April 25-29, 1999.
The scholarship is available for a student or emerging museum
professional.  The student should be enrolled in an accredited college
or university and actively pursuing a career in the museum field.  To
qualify, emerging professionals must be employed at least half time at a
college or university museum or gallery and have less than two years of
experience in a college or university museum.
Applicants should provide the following:  contact information including
name, address and telephone number; three references with contact
information; a detailed resume (limited to two pages); and a coherent
essay that describes the applicant's interest and goals in pursuing a
career in college or university museums or galleries (limited to 500
words).
Please type the information and application in a 12-point font.  Faxed
applications will not be accepted.
Do not send materials such as portfolios, brochures, works and
publications.
