Greetings:
The theme of the 1999 ASDM Annual Meeting is "Heritage and Tourism:
Alive and Thriving in South Dakota." The meeting is being hosted by the
Adams Museum in historic Deadwood, South Dakota from April 15 through April
17, 1999.
Dynamic speaker Amy Jordan Webb, the National Trust's Heritage
Tourism Program's director, will explore the goals and current national
trends of heritage tourism.
Graphics Professor Paul Kopco will provide an overview of
establishing a presence on the web, including what to look for when hiring
a designer and the basics of web design.
Lily Mendoza, founder of the Earthwalker and recognized authority
on tribal tourism will discuss the many challenges and promises faced by
Native Americans in sharing their heritage.
