Halogen lamps are bad.  Bad, bad, bad.   It would be much better to use
Fluoroscent lamps.  Halogens are VERY hot and would bake the objects.
Fluoroscent lamps are much cooler and would not heat up the objects.
However, make sure to use UV shielding clear acrylic (i.e. UF Plexiglas)
inbetween the lights and the objects and, if possible, UV protective
sleeves on the light bulbs themselves.
