University of Delaware has a new MBA program with a Museum Studies
focus. I think this is the "wave of the future." Many museums, like my
own, are becoming more business-like. We are approaching things much
more like corporations do. I think an MBA degree would foster this new
sort of thinking and really benefit a career in museum administration.

Have you looked into a Masters in Public Administration? There are
about 200 programs in the US to chose from. The Public Administration
degree has more relevance to non-profits and especially government run
institutions than the MBA. Your other option would be to look into a
Museum Studies degree and minor in Public or Business Administration. I
would talk to people in several of the degree programs as well as people
in the type of museum you are interested in working in to get a better
idea of what to pursue.
Best of luck.
