We seem to be forgetting the parents' role in all this. Believe me, I
don't advocate the Barbie - Van Gogh connection. I think it's
ridiculous and would never buy the doll for my child. On the other
hand, whose responsibility is it to educate kids? Mattel's or their
parents'?

If that happens great! But I am not sure the Barbie is going
to be a teaching momment in most homes. To take art, history,
music, etc. out of context, with a disregared to education is hard for
me to support.
