     Also seems to me that a museum's customers (visitors,
     clients, donors, financial supporters, etc) will EXPECT
     you to be ethical and professional.  Having and
     adhering to a standard of ethics will make them more
     comfortable with you.  If potential donors have the
     feeling that you're operating for your own benefit
     rather than that of your institution, they won't deal
     with you.
