Dates needed: April 27 thru June 2--as shown below for training dates
June 3 thru August 6--supervision of students during work shifts
COMPENSATION: $750.00 stipend

Responsibilities:
*Attend Junior Docent training sessions on following dates (6:30-8:30 p.m.):
April 27 (Tuesday) Session 1--Introduction to dinosaur cart
April 28 (Wednesday) Session 2--Practice at dinosaur cart
May 4 (Tuesday) Session 3-Junior Docent Role in Museum
May 5 (Wednesday) Session 4-Communication skills/Working w/
visitors
May 11 (Tuesday) Session 5--Introduction to bat cart
May 12 (Wednesday) Session 6--Practice at bat cart
May 18 (Tuesday) Session 7--Introduction to earthquake cart
May 19 (Wednesday) Session 8--Practice at earthquake cart
May 25 (Tuesday) Session 9--Introduction to sea tank
May 26 (Wednesday) Session 10--Practice at sea tank
June 1 and 2 Final evaluations (8:30 am to 5:00 p.m. each day)
*Supervision Duties--Be available to supervise junior docents during part of
each work shift; a possible work schedule might be 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Work shifts for junior docents are as follows: 9:30-12:00 a.m.
12:00-2:30 p.m.
2:30-5:00 p.m.
Supervision during work shifts entails checking the sign-in sheets to see
what coverage there is, walking through the stations and observing the
students at work, and problem-solving any situations that may arise.
*Administrative duties:
Assist with making name badges for new students
Keep attendance records
Check sign-in sheets for shifts
Arrange 2 field trips, send out flyers to students, attend field trips
Arrange evening career exploration sessions for students
Plan End-of-Year Pizza Party (approx. Aug. 5)
