EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, HISTORIC COLUMBIA FOUNDATION
Historic Columbia Foundation seeks an Executive Director to take it into the 21st century. With 6 historic buildings under its jurisdiction, the Foundation guides Columbia's historic preservation efforts and is expanding its activities into the adjacent Midlands region. Plans for the future include development of a "Robert Mills Museum of Early National Architecture," a project in which the director will play a key role. HCF seeks a director with experience in managing properties, personnel, and finances, as well as curatorial or academic expertise in museum work and/or historic preservation. Requirements: MA (or BA with equivalent experience) in Applied History or related field; several years experience of executive management of historic properties, museums, or similar not-for-profit organizations; speaking, writing, and interpersonal skills; experience in fund-raising, budget development, long-range planning, and grant writing.
