Using gloves with paper objects is always a tricky issue. For example,
the gloves with the PVC dots may appear to be handy for some items, but
should not be used with photographs. Books with suede covers may
require you to use gloves, not only to protect the leather from the oils
on your hands, but to keep the leather from staining your hands. You
may wish to contact Peter Verheyen, the staff conservator at the Gaylord
Co. (archival supplies) for advice.
