The Children's Museum and Planetarium in Charleston,W.Va. had a W.Va Heritage
Trunk that traveled to all W. Va. 8th grade classes for many years (it started
with 11 trunks and expanded until each of the 55 counties had their own
trunks. It was a hands-on activity based trunk. The person to contact now
lives in St. Louis, MO. She is Mrs. Edward Sherwood (Dolly), and I'm sorry I
don't have her address at the moment. I don't think the trunks travel any
more, and I believe they were turned over to the W.Va. State Museum at the
State Cultural Center in Charleston. Please let me know if you wish additional
information. Good luck! Jane Glaser ([log in to unmask])
