Salary: GS05, $21,051 year
Duration: This is a term position not to exceed four years.
The incumbent must possess the following knowledge, skills, and
abilities:
*Knowledge of the principles of archival collection management and
documentation.
*Ability to prepare finding aids such as registers, inventories, and
container and folder lists.
*Knowledge of the principles of documentation and collection
management for historical and archeological collections.
Incumbent will process archival materials following accepted
professional archival procedures. Prepare finding aids. Transfer
archival materials to appropriate storage. Conduct research to
identify and organize materials and prepare finding aids. Assist with
the preparation of curatorial records including accession and catalog
records for archival, architectural, historical, and archeological
materials. Organize collections in storage. Assist with the
preparation, assembly, and installation of temporary exhibitions.
Assist with annual inventories. Assist with the inspection and
monitoring of historically furnished areas.
