Folks, there has been a fair whack of discourtesy on this list of late, some
unintentional (but hotly resented nonetheless) and some of it quite
deliberate. Hardly being without sin, I hesitate to cast the first stone.
However, I do detect a definite lowering of tone on this list. Surely there
is room for at least a modicum of professional courtesy, while still
agreeing to disagree.
The Maori expression for discourteous speech is:
"He kupu matangerengere"
which means a word having a hideously ulcerated face.
I think we've had enough of it.
