Following the death of its Chairman in 1998 the British Association of
Friends of Museums (BAFM) launched a memorial fund with the intention of
providing a prize of 100 UK pounds to a selected person UNDER 25 years
old to present a paper on a heritage related subject at the BAFM's
Annual Meeting. The first award will be made this year and the subject
will be:
HOW YOUNG PEOPLE COULD, AND SHOULD, BE INVOLVED IN PLACES LIKE MUSEUMS
The paper will be given at the BAFM meeting in Glasgow on Saturday 9
October 1999.
Applications from under 25s (professionals, students, volunteers,
Friends, supporters etc etc) are now invited. To obtain an application
form please contact:

Closing Date for applications is 1 June 1999
