Anthropology on the Web for K--12
As part of the Smithsonian Institution*s (SI) effort to support and advance education to the diverse audiences it serves, the SI Libraries* John Wesley Powell Library of Anthropology has created a Website entitled *Anthropology on the Internet for K-12.* It is an annotated listing of hot links to selected sites with information about the field of anthropology for teachers and young people. Some of the information (for example, the section on careers) is certainly very pertinent to college/university-age students as well. The sites are grouped under 11 different headings, and each section is illustrated with photos of Smithsonian anthropologists in the field or in their labs. More information about each anthropologist is available when you enlarge the photo. Take a look and send us your comments. Link it to your own website! We welcome suggestions of new sources to consider as additions to the list.
