The Center for American Archeology announces two new internship
positions for Fall of 1998. Interactive museum education has a long and
successful history at the Center and we are currently strengthening and
expanding this program. Interns are sought to assist in teaching our
innovative Past Lifeways curriculum. This program includes residential
and tour group learning experiences.
The qualified applicant will have an interest in archeology and/or
history, excellent interpersonal skill and the ability to teach using
hands-on, interactive approaches. A bachelor's degree in a related
field is desirable. Desire to educate and work with a wide range of
students and an interest in learning prehistoric and early historic
technologies is mandatory. Interships are ten weeks in length, from
August 24 to Ocotober 31. Interns receive a salary, living
accommodations and some meals.

and abilities as pertinent to this type of museum education. Closing
