The Denver Museum of Natural History is in the planning stages of a multi-million dollar project. There will be an exhibit (possibly as large as 20,000 square feet) with "high-tech" multi-media displays, lots of interacitves and demonstration areas, and maybe a largish diorama. And the exhibit is just one part of the project! I'd like to get some feedback from other museums with recently or soon-to-be opened "big exhibits." How much did you budget per square foot? Was it enough? How long did it take from concept to opening? What work did you do in-house and what did you contract? What were your biggest challenges and pitfalls?
Thanks for the help.
