We are planning to have a permanent case for recent acquisitions in the
front lobby and orientation area of our museum. Would like to hear from
other institutions about their experiences and recommendations with
these.
1) What is a good place or position for such a case? on visitor
entry/exit, near admissions, etc.
2) How large a case is too big, or how small is too small?
3) What are some tricks of making it flexible to accomadate different
sizes and types of objects.
4) What sort of things make it interesting and attractive for visitors?
5) Suggestions for dealing with conservation concerns?
6) How often are objects in the case removed/installed?

Thanks for comments about these or other related issues to recent
acquisitions vitrines.
