Many Web sites consider what the museum has to offer. I think at the
top level you should think more about what types of visitor may arrive
and then present information you think most appropriate for them (e.g.,
children, teachers, researchers, etc.). Effectively the virtual visitor
then gives some information on themselves as they start to explore your
Web site. This is the philosophy I used in designing the River and
Rowing Museum Web site under http://www.rrm.co.uk/ - comments are
welcome.
