I think we have all been contrite about our knee-jerk reactions to the
Hering thread, but you must put faith in us when we recognize our
mistakes, apologize for it, and are genuinely remorseful. How can we
have a debate if we don't fling statements around? We begin to
understand our mistakes, and correct them, or we just sit on our high
horse and become more entrenched. I believe we have all at one time or
another made outrageous remarks, and it is unfortunate that Hering's was
distilled at large. But we are human, and that's the crux of it. You
work with people, and you pick and choose from those you want to learn
from. Aside from that, the delete key in this list has been a god-send.
