This sort of message is sophomoric, unfunny, and has the taint of ad hominum attack. The request for information on sexual collections was sent out and mostly responded to with a measure of earnestness - it is one thing to complain about the subject being discussed, it is quite another to publish a slur. Mr. Handy is entirely entitled to his opinions, his sense of humor, and his mode of expression. However, in the spirit of civility, I question the posting of this on Museum-L.. There are plenty of other places on the internet for this sort of expression.
Just another 2 cents worth....
Cheers!

Subject: How do you find the time to read all these emails!
I can't believe how many messages people send out that are wasting
everybody's time. We all don't need to hear comments like "Suppose there's
a P.M.S. gallery?"
How much time do you have on your hands? I received some really neat and
useful information and decided to try out this listserver, however I'm
getting more often more than 15 emails a day. Monday mornings I get at
least 25! I wish I had that much time, but I don't.
I'll check back in a year to see if you've thought of compiling this server
by topics, but for now, farewell.
