The keynote speaker is Eilean Hooper-Greenhill, Director, Dept of
Museum Studies, University of Leicester, UK.

Information and registration:
· How do museum audiences learn?
· What factors influence learning?
· How can museums effectively plan to mediate learning in
exhibitions and programs?
· How do we know if learning occurs? · How can museums themselves
learn?
Join us at a one-day seminar to discuss some of these important
questions. The seminar will provide a wide range of different points
of view, both theoretical and practical, about approaches to learning
in museums. Sessions will be led by people from the museum industry
and from academic and research backgrounds.

Launch of the Australian Museum Audience Research Centre (AMARC).
Please join us for drinks after the seminar to celebrate the launch of
this new Museum initiative. The Centre has been established to promote
excellence and collaboration in research about museum visitors, museum
experiences and learning. The Centre will be launched by the Director
of the Australian Museum, Professor Mike Archer.
