Dear Mr. Peirera and all,
AAM publishes a guide to current degree and non-degree training and avanced
education programs in the USA, and otherwise I have found that contacting
national museum associations is the best source for fairly complete
information.

A major question you want to clarify for yourself in your research, and
perhaps could help everyone with, is what the important, but variable,
distinction between "museology" and "museum studies" means in different
training contexts, in different regions, etc. A lot of factors are involved:
age of the program, target audience of students, level, and such, in addition
to the essential question of core curriculum and available electives.

Also, contact AAM's COMPT committee, whose many experienced members have
wisdom and knowledge on all related questions.

Best wishes,
Annie Storr, University of Virginia
