Whatever happened to the idea of a three-pronged mission for a museums- to
collect, care for, and educate? This was the baisc tenet of my museum
studies program and is the" official" mission of a museum. It seems to me
that everything should be entwined and that arguing about which is most
important is just taking time away from what we should really be doing -
the best job we can in all these areas!
