I am very sad to report that Dr. Craig C. Black passed away on Saturday,
December 5, in
Albuquerque, New Mexico after a short battle with cancer. Black, a
mammalian paleontologist, was a professor at the University of Kansas and
Texas Tech University and director of the Texas Tech University Museum, the
Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Pittsburgh, and the LA County Museum of
Natural History.
Those wishing to contact Dr. Black's family should address cards to: Mrs.
Elizabeth Black; 8
Applewood Lane, NW, Ranchos de Albuquerque, New Mexico 87107-6404. Dr.
Black is survived by his wife Liz, daughter Lorna and her husband Joe, son
Christopher, and grandchildren Joe and Elizabeth.
Information concerning a memorial service for Dr. Black will be available
at a later date.
