Under development right now is the Women of the West Museum, founded by
Toni Dewey. Boulder, CO
Here in Chicago there was or still is a Marie? Weber Museum, founded by
Ms. Weber back in the late 70s or early 80s. It was having troubles last
I heard, so it may be defunct.
Countless local history museums have been founded by <a> woman or a
group of them. Wasn't Colonial Williamsburg started by a group of local
women interested in preserving the town?
Peggy Gugenheim museum in Venice?
This is a very interesting line of research. I hope you will keep the
list posted regarding your findings.
