I am looking for information about a "Tufts Arctic Soda Water Apparatus"
made by the James W. Tufts Co., Boston, patent date of 1863. We have one
in our collection and I'm repairing parts of it...not for use but for
show. (some marble is cracked, some spigots & syrup dispensers are
missing) I would love to see illustrations or photos of a completed soda
fountain, even historical photos showing this particular brand of
fountain. The Guide to American Trade Catalogs lists an 1876 Tufts
catalog but unfortunately the author did not know the location of the
trade catalog. Has anyone seen such a fountain in a museum collection?
Anyway, thanks for any leads and I'll keep searching on my end.
