My institution is looking into the possibility of using an outside firm to
market/manage a major loan exhibition from our collection. We have made
initial inquiries and would like to make some decision soon. I would
appreciate information from any institution or individual who has had
experience using The Trust for Museum Exhibitions (Ann Van Devanter Townsend)
or International Arts & Artists (David Furchgott).
Our proposed exhibition is about 250 pieces and includes furniture, household
& agricultural tools and equipment, textiles, prints and drawings and the
like. We have some leads for exhibition sites internationally but would like
to have the tour managed independently.
I will appreciate hearing about any experiences, not just the good, bad, or
ugly! Please reply off-line. I am happy to share information with others who
request it.
Thanks,
Sharon Duane Koomler
